Virtual Public Speaking / One-To-One Coaching
A Presentation Skills Workshop
Give your students the opportunity to learn Public Speaking and Presentation Skills in a way that increases their confidence and builds their skills. Provide them with practical experience in a supportive, enjoyable environment.
The Workshop has two phases. The Large Group Workshop actively involves the entire class and their teacher with exercises that teach live presentation techniques. This is followed Several Small Group Sessions, of 5-7 students so that each student gets individual attention.
The “Presentation Skills” programs give middle and high school students the tools necessary to develop projects for events like National History Day, Science Fairs, Poetry out Loud, and Media Interviews.

MORE on National History Day
Students at Bronxville High School write and perform a song about the Berlin Wall for National History Day. Karen De Mauro coaches alongside Bronxville Teachers. Rehearsal and editing with respect for the integrity of student creation is critical to the learning process. This early rehearsal of a musical interpretation of the end of the Berlin Wall in 1991 demonstrates the students’ investigation of a critical time in world history.
Walt Whitman at the alvin ailey theater - Spring 2019
Karen De Mauro performs Walt Whitman's "Song of the Open Road" at the Alvin Ailey Theater on Broadway in New York, NY. The project was sponsored by Discover NY! and the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site. A critical part of keeping the American literary tradition alive is embodied performance of our great poets and writers. Projects like “Poetry Out Loud” and “Performing Poetry/Presenting Prose” train students to be spokespeople for American culture.
